Welcome to Thistle Class!

What an exciting year ahead we have: Our teacher, Mr Anastiasdis, has a plethora of brilliant topics planned to spark our curiosity and broaden our knowledge.

Speaking of curiosity, our space topic is certain to get our minds questioning and alongside the science aspect of space, we will also be exploring the brilliant text, Hidden Figures, learning about the history of NASA and some very inspirational women.

Some other highlights during the year will be developing our knowledge of some memorable British monarchs; building on our understanding of Hinduism that we gained in KS1; as well as exploring radio stations in our computing sessions. Of course, that's not it all but it gives a little taste of some of the great learning we will experience during the year.

Now that we're in our penultimate year, some of us will also be taking on leadership roles as reading ambassadors and anti-bullying ambassadors. This is something that we are very excited about and we take the responsibility very seriously.

We are ready to grow our brains and see what new things we can discover: we are effervescent emeralds!
